In questi ultimi 2 giorni continuiamo il nostro “tirare il fiato” facendoci trasportare dal ritmo lento di questa bella città: Calgary

Il meteo alterno momenti di pioggerellina ad un sole caldo ed umido abbastanza fastidioso. Girovaghiamo cercando di vedere quanto più possibile, cercare si capire usi e abitudini… visitiamo la Calgary Public Library, lo Studio Bell, facciamo un bel giro nel quartiere Cinese che a noi affascina sempre visitando il tempio centrale e qualche “bakery” tipica con i loro tanti dolci fluffy. Approfittando dell’ingresso gratuito e della sua vicinanza facciamo visita anche al famoso The Calgary Zoo immerso nel verde e tenuto maniacalmente.

Come sempre…immancabile nelle nostre uscite …. una bella mezza giornata dedicata al Museo della Scienza TELUS Spark Science Centre .

Ma l’evento che tanto attendevamo qui a Calgary era partecipare al loro famoso GlobalFest Calgary , con la spettacolare gara di fuochi pirotecnici internazionale. Noi abbiamo avuto la fortuna di ammirare lo spettacolo della China, con sottofondo musicale. Un evento con un affluenza giornaliera di 25000 persone, dove abbiamo potuto ammirare per l’ennesima volta, un educazione e rispetto per l’ambiente, le persone e le cose che li circonda. File lunghissime per acquistare cibo dove tutti rispettavano educatamente il lento scorrere della stessa. Eravamo immersi nel verde totale del Elliston Park con i fuochi che si riflettevano nel lago…uno spettacolo indescrivibile

Day 18 + Day 19

During these last two days, we continue our "catch your breath" experience, drifting along by the slow pace of this beautiful city: Calgary.

The weather alternates between light rain and a rather annoyingly hot and humid sun. We wander around, trying to see as much as possible, trying to understand customs and traditions... we visit the Calgary Public Library, the Bell Studio, and take a nice tour of the Chinatown, which always fascinates us, visiting the central temple and a few typical bakeries with their many fluffy sweets. Taking advantage of the free admission and its proximity, we also visit the famous Calgary Zoo, nestled in lush greenery and meticulously maintained.

As always... a must-see on our outings... a lovely half day dedicated to the TELUS Spark Science Centre.

But the event we were so eagerly awaiting here in Calgary was participating in their famous GlobalFest Calgary, with its spectacular international fireworks competition. We were lucky enough to admire the Chinatown show, accompanied by music. An event with a daily attendance of 25,000 people, where we were able to admire, once again, the education and respect for the environment, the people, and the things that surround them. Long lines to buy food, where everyone politely respected the slow flow of the line. We were immersed in the lush greenery of Elliston Park, with the fireworks reflecting in the lake... an indescribable spectacle
