Day 16
Dopo 16 giorni, 3000 km in auto, 4 Parchi Nazionali e quasi 270 km a piedi tra i sentieri eccoci arrivati nella nostra ultima meta: Calgary. Lasciamo l’auto a noleggio e come sempre rallentiamo il ritmo cercando di goderci la città e recuperare energie.
Quindi questi 4 giorni qui li trascorriamo nel massimo relax, ovviamente con “lunghe” passeggiate per esplorare a meglio questo luogo e questa nuova cultura. Nel nostro primo giorno intero qui ci dedichiamo alla sua famosissima Stephen Avenue, l’ 8 Ave SW, una lunga strada pedonale ricca di negozi tipici e locali dove strutture innovative, grattacieli ed edifici del 1800 ci mescolano nel migliore dei modi. Attraversiamo il Peace Bridge, progettato da Calatrava, un ponte ad intrecci in accio, molto accattivante, rosso, che collega il centro città alla zona residenziale attraversando il fiume Bow che durante questo viaggio ci ha seguiti in lungo e largo. Ad esclusivo uso ciclopedonale. Di sera, illuminato è incredibile. Nel tardo pomeriggio visitiamo la famosissima Calgary Tower . Costruita nel centenario del Canada, alta 190 metri, si erge nel cuore del distretto finanziario con una piattaforma panoramica in vetro, ed un panorama spettacolare che oltre alla città ci ha permesso di salutare le Montagne Rocciose ed i suoi tanti fiumi. Cena con vista al suo ristorante Sky 360 che in 1 ora gira appunto di 360 gradi permettendoti di ammirare la città comodamente seduto davanti ad una squisita cena. 
Day 16
After 16 days, 3,000 km by car, 4 National Parks, and nearly 270 km of hiking trails, we've arrived at our final destination: Calgary. We leave the rental car and, as always, slow down, trying to enjoy the city and recharge our batteries.
So, we spend these four days here relaxing, obviously with long walks to better explore this place and this new culture. On our first full day here, we dedicate ourselves to its famous Stephen Avenue, 8th Ave SW, a long pedestrian street full of traditional shops and restaurants where innovative structures, skyscrapers, and 19th-century buildings blend together in the best possible way. We cross the Peace Bridge, designed by Calatrava, a striking red steel weave bridge that connects the city center to the residential area, crossing the Bow River, which has followed us far and wide throughout this trip. It's for pedestrian and cycle use only. At night, when lit up, it's stunning. In the late afternoon, we visit the world-famous Calgary Tower. Built to celebrate Canada's centennial, the 190-meter-tall structure stands in the heart of the financial district with a glass observation deck and a spectacular view that, in addition to the city, allowed us to admire the Rocky Mountains and its many rivers. Dinner with a view at its Sky 360 restaurant, which rotates 360 degrees in an hour, allowing you to admire the city while comfortably seated over a delicious dinner.
