Day 15
I giorni a Banff sono volati tra le tante cose da fare e vedere e tante purtroppo messe in disparte. (Ma chi lo ha detto che non torneremo qui???)
Oggi ci trasferiamo nella nostra meta finale che per 5 notti e 4 giorni pieni ci farà da “casa”: Calgary
Ma prima di mettere via le divise da trekking oggi strada facendo una bella escursione non possiamo evitarla… ci dirigiamo così verso i Grassi Lakes Trail, altro luogo molto gettonato ma che per fortuna si è rivelato poco affollato. Il tempo a disposizione non è moltissimo ma effettuiamo comunque un loop che ci permette di ammirare 1 dei laghi principali. Ma il tempo stringe perché bisogna raggiungere Canmore dove ci attende l’attività principale odierna: il rafting
Già fatto diverse volte ed anche qui è stata adrenalina pura ed emozioni al massimo…ma questa volte in acque davvero gelide essendo glaciali. Ma lo spettacolo quando il fiume si calmava era da urlo!!! Altra gran bella esperienza con Zoe e Zak che si sono lanciati nel fiume appesi ad un ponte ed hanno nuotato così in acque glaciali
Day 15
The days in Banff flew by, with so many things to do and see, and so many things we unfortunately put aside. (But who said we won't be back here???)
Today we're moving on to our final destination, which will be our "home" for 5 nights and 4 full days: Calgary.
But before we put away our hiking gear, we can't avoid a beautiful hike along the way today... so we head to the Grassi Lakes Trail, another popular spot that fortunately turned out to be less crowded. We don't have much time, but we still do a loop that allows us to admire one of the main lakes. But time is running out because we need to get to Canmore, where today's main activity awaits: rafting.
We've done it several times before, and once again it was pure adrenaline and thrills at their peak...but this time in truly freezing waters, as they're glacial. But the spectacle when the river calmed down was breathtaking!!! Another great experience with Zoe and Zak who jumped into the river hanging from a bridge and swam in glacial waters
