Day 13
Gionata piovosa qui a Banff ma dopo esserci attrezzati a dovere e fatto scorta di viveri 
ci spostiamo verso la nostra meta: il Johnston Canyon … un trekking di medio livello che con molti tratti di passerelle sospese attraversa il canyon ed offre scorci su diverse cascate. Un bel sentiero di quasi 6 km tra una natura incontaminata. Davvero affascinante ed emozionante anche con la pioggia che ci ha lasciati davvero per poco. Pic nic al volo alla base del canyon e zuppi zuppi rientriamo a Banff per sistemarci. Ma il meteo ci da una tregua ed allora approfittiamo per visitare le vicine Cave and Basin National Historic Site . Il famosissimo luogo di nascita del sistema dei Parchi Canadesi con una grotta avente una sorgente di acqua termale solfurea scoperta nel 1800 dai lavoratori ferrovieri. Molto affascinante…

Day 13
It's a rainy day here in Banff, but after gearing up and stocking up on supplies , we head towards our destination: Johnston Canyon... a medium-level hike that, with many sections of suspended walkways, traverses the canyon and offers views of several waterfalls. A beautiful trail of almost 6 km through pristine nature. Truly fascinating and exciting, even with the rain that only lasted a short time. A quick picnic at the base of the canyon and, soaking wet, we return to Banff to settle in. But the weather offers a break, so we take the opportunity to visit the nearby Cave and Basin National Historic Site. The famous birthplace of the Canadian National Parks system, with a cave containing a sulphurous thermal spring discovered in the 1800s by railway workers. Very fascinating.
