Day 12
Lake Louise…ore 5:30…2 gradi…nebbia fitta e buio… ma dopo tante albe in solitaria non potevo perdermi questa. Alle 5:45 parcheggio del lago Lake Louise praticamente pieno e tante ma tante persone in attesa dell’alba al bordo della riva. Io mi spingo in camminata invece fino ad arrivare alla base del ghiacciaio e questo mi permette di non incontrare nessuno e soprattutto avere scorci migliori. Peccato per la nebbia ma anche quest’alba ha avuto un bel suo fascino.
Sveglia alla family, colazione e si parte per un paio di trekking… oggi la prima tappa è al lago glaciale Emerald Lake. Il trekking è in loop intorno al lago, ma reso davvero difficile per via del tanto fango trovato per via della pioggia notturna. Ma lo portiamo a termine e veniamo premiati da spettacolari viste mozzafiato. Il più bel lago glaciale in assoluto visto fin ora!!! Bellissimo e con il sole spettacolare 
. Proseguiamo verso la seconda meta di oggi senza però tralasciare soste anche non in programma…questo posto ha mille cose da vedere. Ci fermiamo ad osservare il Lower Spiral Tunnel , una serie di tunnel scavati nella montagna davvero fatti a spirale per il passaggio dei treni… davvero affascinante. Proseguiamo così verso la seconda meta di oggi, le Takakkaw Falls, le cascate più grandi del Rocky Mountain National Park e le seconde del Canada con ben 373 metri di altezza.

Day 12
Lake Louise… 5:30 am… 2 degrees… thick fog and darkness… but after so many solitary sunrises, I couldn't say this to myself. At 5:45 am, the Lake Louise parking lot was practically full, with countless people waiting for sunrise at the edge of the lake. I instead hiked to the base of the glacier, which allowed me to avoid encountering anyone and, above all, to get better views. It's a shame about the fog, but this sunrise was also quite charming.
The family wakes up, breakfasts, and we set off for a couple of hikes… today's first stop is at Emerald Lake. The hike is a loop around the lake, but it's made really difficult by the mud we've encountered due to the overnight rain. But we finish it and are rewarded with breathtaking views. The most beautiful glacial lake I've ever seen!!! Beautiful and with spectacular sunshine . We continue toward today's second destination, without neglecting any unscheduled stops... this place has a thousand things to see. We stop to observe the Lower Spiral Tunnel, a series of tunnels carved into the mountain, truly spiral-shaped for the passage of trains... truly fascinating. We continue toward the second half of today, the Takakkawa Falls, the largest waterfalls in the Rocky Mountains and the second-highest in Canada, at 373 meters.
