…ma facciamo un piccolo passo indietro.. la serata di ieri si è conclusa con l’arrivo a Zion negli Utah e il contemporaneo avviso sul cellulare di 
inondazioni e tempeste previste per la serata e la mattina seguente

inondazioni e tempeste previste per la serata e la mattina seguente …Ma la mattina dopo colazione e dopo aver ritirato l’attrezzatura da trekking impermeabile e la relativa autorizzazione al percorso, ci addentriamo con le navette nel più bel Parco Nazionale mai visitato :
Carichi ma anche con qualche timore sul cattivo tempo, iniziamo il nostro trekking sul percorso che ci porterà alla vera e propria escursione : The Narrows, Zion National Park.
The Narrows è la sezione più stretta dello Zion Canyon. Questa gola, con muri alti e il fiume a volte largo solo da venti metri, è una delle zone più popolari del Parco Nazionale di Zion. Questa escursione si svolge interamente nel canyon formato dal Virgin River e ha 4 punti di interessi con altrettante cascate per una lunghezza di 10 miglia (16km) solo andata, sempre in acqua più o meno alta. Noi siamo arrivati fino al terzo step, 7 miglia (11,2 km) con acqua spesso alta fino al petto per un totale di 22,5 km in acqua e 3 km su percorso tracciato. Stancante ma qualcosa di unico e spettacolare tanto che erano Zoe & Zak a tirare noi e spingerci ad andare oltre. Escursione che consigliamo almeno 1 volta nella vita. Bella, bellissima, con una natura stupefacente e il camminare in un canyon ha qualcosa di non descrivibile

...But in the morning after breakfast and after having collected the waterproof trekking equipment and the relevant authorization for the route, we take the shuttles into the most beautiful National Park we have ever visited:

Exhausted but also with some fears about bad weather, we begin our trek on the route that will take us to the actual excursion: The Narrows, Zion National Park. The Narrows is the narrowest section of Zion Canyon. This gorge, with high walls and a river sometimes only twenty meters wide, is one of the most popular areas of Zion National Park. This excursion takes place entirely in the canyon formed by the Virgin River and has 4 points of interest with as many waterfalls for a length of 10 miles (16km) one way, always in more or less high water. We got to the third step, 7 miles (11.2 km) with often chest-deep water for a total of 22.5 km in water and 3 km on a marked route. Tiring but something unique and spectacular so much so that Zoe & Zak were the ones who pulled us and pushed us to go further. An excursion that we recommend at least once in a lifetime.
